Waking up at 5am on a weekday usually means one of two things for me: rushing out of the house to catch a flight, and work (with a quick session at the gym of course). However, this one morning was different. Several of our female members got a real treat from Toyota Australia out at Wakefield Park for an 86 Ladies Drive Day!
Xmas is around the corner… and what does that mean? Time for our annual bbq!

Following Round 2 of the NSW 86/BRZ Club motorkhana, the Board would like to present the next round of the 2016 Championship.
Steve from the WRX Club used his AWD system to his advantage and pulled away from the rest of the field. A few competitors mounted a brave challenge though and the field was much closer…

What do you get when you have two good mates with totally opposite lifestyles but the same car? You get two very unique and awesome 86s!
So after the conclusion of the Festival of 86 held by Toyota, I was honoured to find out that I had won a social media competition set up by our club NSW 86/BRZ Car club. The prize was a private brunch with Tetsuya Tada, Chief Engineer of Toyota Japan and father of the Toyota 86 and a visit to renowned rally legend Neal Bates workshop. Neal Bates Motorsport is also the birthplace of 86 race cars for the new 86 racing series.
With the bar set high from the last event held out at White Bay Ferry Terminal, the challenge was on to make this year’s Festival better and for ones who attended I am sure you would agree that this one by far is the best one yet with Toyota Australia once again out doing themselves and delivering the best Festival yet!
When it comes to choosing tyres, with so many variety and brands out there with some offering you the world and others over delivering on their product. Toyo I believe is one where they are modest about the product you’re getting but the tyre outperforms what’s said on its product description!
What an event!
The weather held up very nicely for Saturday with lots of sunshine along with plenty of smiles. We will have a full wrap of the event in a bit as soon as I get back into Sydney
